My opinion is that they're something we have to live with. I tried that Fixadent cr** and the guy had a lot of tools but didn't get the job done. NO FIX = NO PAY--that's what he told me before he got started. To me, it's like if you get fired from your roofing job, start a dent fixing franchise.

Body shop is about $300/panel in general. That's a dent fixing buffet--barring serious damage, they all get fixed. But with bondo it looks like s*** whenever the car is clean, because it is 100% obvious when there is light and one can see the reflection. When it's dirty or dark, sure, body work looks better than having dents. my .02

yeah, I have a really tight dent on my trunk lid, just above where the nissan emblem used to be... it's about the size of a dime if not smaller and I've pretty much given up trying to get it out, unless someone has any ideas.

the rest of it has some scratches on it too, so I'll probably just replace it soon.

Wow, we have the same exact car... 95/96 Pebble Beige, with a dent on the trunk lid above the shaved nissan emblem. J/w, how did you get yours? I have no idea where mine came from ,just noticed it one day.

hahaha, uh...

let's just say a mailbox jumped RIGHT out behind me one day while I was trying to park on a curved street.

I was still a new driver at the time.

Hmmm, dents are something I have to live with. I am just so unlucky with them... yesterday a new one appeared, obviously someone again on a parking lot was carelessly opening the door....local body shop quoted $1000 at least (to fix all of them, all over the car). that's not worth it, considering I have a 95. And I hate them (dents), what can I do?

yeah--my dad "scraped" the side driver rear of my max with the minivan and busted a taillight--gave me an excuse for the red/clear tails--but the damage for minor paint and dent work was close to $600---i did get a lot of it "banged out" by going through the trunk and banging on the outside

thanks guys, the reason i ask is because i was looking at getting a new maxima, (by new i mean '99) and i noticed that it had a few dents in both doors on the drivers side, and i wasn't sure how much it would cost, and how much effort it would be. But i didn't get the car anyways, so i'll have to see when i do get my new max. But if anyone has any other sudgestions, that would be great. thanks again

It can work to get those little dents out, but only if you get the right person to do it. There is no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to these dents though. You cannot just pull them out like you see on commercials. You have to go on the inside of the door or whatever panel and push it out a little at a time from there.

I have had three dents(that were in my door when I bought it) pushed out from the inside, and you cannot tell that they were ever there. I can kind of just barely, because I knew where they were and I probably just look extra hard for something to be there. Usually, dealerships have someone that does that dent stuff. Just ask and find out. (do you think that the cars that come in on trade to the dealerships come in without dents?....no....they use these dent guys)

I paid about $40 dollars for him to get those three dents out. That is a pretty fair price from what I have seen.
Hope I was able to help.

yeah thanks, that's helps a lot. nice to see what kinda price it is, which is very reasonable. and yeah, i think it's funny about the dealerships, my one friend said he wouldn't buy a used dealership car because he went around back and saw all the beat up cars, that they fix and then turn around and sell it, either way, if it works it works.

JJmax, did you ever get those dents fixed? How did it turn out? What did you end up doing?
