tapping into the "security" flashing light to add a LED

is it possible to tap into some wire that powers the, "security" flashing light so Ican add a LED when my doors are locked (or the stock alarm is armed).

that wont do much good
the nissan security light only flashes when a door or trunk is open and just stays on for about 30 seconds after you lock the car

why not just wire in a blinking LED that goes on when u shut off the car? 1000X easier than ripping the dash apart again. don't make things more complicated then needed.

whatever would work, I'm unsure of how to do it.
