It is a pretty good car but it has a couple problems. First- it slightly cut out on me when I de cellerated and then accelerated at about 2k rpms (its an auto) does anyone know what might have caused that? It was low on real low on gas when I did it. Also, i cant get the key out of the ignition, even when I push the button, is there a trick to this or is is messed up? One more thing, When I was driving it on the interstate, I got on it pretty good and it was great but my speedometer is way off. I figure I was doing about 80 but the speedometer read 100. I know Maximas are badass (and I did just get rid of a bulky SUV) but I know I wasn't going 100. Hell, I used to have a 3000GT, so I definitly know what a 100 plus feels like. Any clue how to fix that or is that a job for Mr. Nissan rip you off dealership service tech man?

How many miles on the car?
Possibly fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator?
Try the cheap and easy filter first.

It has 156K

It has 156k on it. It is weird that it only happened a couple of times but it happened at 2k rpm s both times.
I hope its not tranny stuff but I have really got on it and it has shifted out perfectly everytime.

Re: It has 156K

Now..remember I iz female..and only had an auto GXE 21 days back in Jan...but mine would have a slight hiccup of sorts..often..when taking off. Nothing drastic..just a very slight cutout especially when it was cold.
