last week I ordered polyurethane bushings from suspension.com to replace my old ones when I get my FSTB from streetbeat, if they'll ever send it. How do I put on the new bushings? How hard is it to do? How long will it take? I'm doing this b/c some people say it helps just as much as the FSTB. THanks for the NFO

Just put the front up on stands, take the wheels off, remove the bolts on the endlinks, swap the bushings, replace nuts and torque to spec...easy.

I've always been told that the bushing should be in full contact with the washers, but not severly deformed. So tight, but not TOO tight. I know that this is of no real help to you but...

Also, how much were the bushings? Are they just for the end links or for the mounts too? Are they vehicle specific? I saw all purpose ones made by Addco at Autozone for $7.99.

When you replace the SB Bushing use the grease that came with them and grease both the bushing and the bar. This will keep it from squeeking.

I ordered them from suspension.com for $7 and I had to pay shipping too. Not bad at all. These bushings are model specific and are for the Front Strut Brace, unlike the ones at AUto Zone. They are graphite impregnated so there is no need to use any grease.

They do need grease. They do need to be greased or they will squeek. They graphite only helps to stop the squeeking. Ask Bruce at suspension.com he will tell you the same.
