Anyone use apexi power filter?

I plan on purchasing an apexi power filter. I was wondering if anyone have any experience with this filter and your overall reaction compared to k&n, jwt, hks, or others. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

You will have to buy it from Frankencar because they are the only people that make the adapter to make it fit with the Maxima. Overall its said that it pulls 1 - 2 hp over all the other intakes.

I like it. I gave the intake a much better tone. Only bad thing is that it's only good for 30K miles or so. I did not care about that back when I bought it, but now it's time to be changed. $60 to replace a filter seems a little stupid now.

30K, that'll take me about 2 years to do so Im not too worried about the $60 price. I30MikeD, how much was the adapter? I could probably improvise and make one. Wouldn't hurt to try.

The filter and adapter from frankencar was $100. I can't remember what they were selling the adapter for alone. I think $40 or $50. Check out frankencar's web site.

As far as making one, I am sure it can be done. Frankencar's is adapter is really nice. It is actually a bit overkill. The thing is bullet proof. The idea is that apexi does not make a filter that will fit our 3" MAF adapter, so the make a the part that will fit the filter on one end and the our 3" MAF adapter on the other. If you don't already have a 3" MAF adapter then that will have to be purchased as well for the Frankencar adapter to work.

Madmax2 sent me this link so maybe I'll save $50 and make one. It should be pretty similar except the bulletproof part.

That idea should work just fine. You still need a regualr 3" MAF adapter though which usually run $25.
