Bulb type for 98 gauges?

Does anyone know the bulb type for the backlighting on a 98 gauge cluster? I know they're not 194's...they're smaller than that.

And any other interior bulb types if you know them. I would really like to convert my interior...change of colour and brighter light.

I found a place that sells LED's that look like the right ones, but before I buy them I wanna make sure.

well, since i just did this in my 99max, i'll shed some light... it take's a bulb called #72. the #72 bulb is imposiable to find in form of a piaa, or polarg... you need to find a place that sells them. since you already did, becareful they so not SuCk, and are not bright. it is hard to do this, especially if you want odd colors. so i decided to do the next best thing... conver the #74 bulb fitting into a #194. you can find a complete write up on my webpage HERE . look at my sig for final product, or look on the page i gave you. G/L.

Dude...you are much more adventurous than I. I don't think I'm into dremel my gauge cluster. I have a question though. You mentioned two different bulb types...#72 and #74? Which one? www.superbrightleds.com has the #74 but not #72...they also have the T1.5, but I don't know if that will work. ( http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR )

Good job on your 194 conversion though.
