Installing spoiler - anythign I should keep in mind?

I just ordered a stock spoiler, and I will be putting it on this week. Is there anything I should keep in mind when doing this? ex. fuses, hooking up the LED light, mounting? Anything from anyone would be WELL appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

You will ahve to drill holes to mount it and a hole for the connector to go through. plus I don't know if maximas came with connectors for spoilers except on the se. So if there is no connector, you will have to find the wires for the spoiler. Plus use good adhisive so it does not fly off or leak. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. ask me if you have anymore q cause I installed one on my dads car.

where did you get it from and how much did it cost? Here in the next week I'm going to order mine, I was thinking spoilerdepot.com's Ebay auction, 150 painted.

I got the spolierdepot.com ebay auction, for $160, with a factory paint job.

I'm hoping the paint matches fairly well. I have a granite max, and the guy there told me that greys usually dont fade too too much. Ill post when it comes and tell you all how the paint matches.

Make sure you paint the edges of the holes after you drill them.

I just had to do some body work on the trunk lid since the hole rusted out. The spoiler was factory installed but it seemed as though they missed out a large area when they were putting the sealant and well water was getting in and getting trapped under the spoiler.

When I re-installed it I used clear silicone because I didn't know where to get the stuff that the factory used. It looked like a large piece of double sided mounting tape.

I went to the dealership to ask to purchase new clips for the left and right ends of the spoiler but they said they didn't sell them. I find it funny how they put the clips on the car but don't have them in stock. Does anyone know where I can get the clips besides the dealership? The holes where the bolt goes through is also rusting...I'll do a little work on it in the spring.

Junkyard but just go to a defferent dealership and get them. That guy probably had a bad day or did not like you for some reason. They have to sell them if it comes stock on the car. It is a part.
