I just got their email......makes you wonder. Ill report on the boot itself when it arrives.

Hello!

Your boots are in the mail and it shouldn't be long before they arrive.
Thank you for your business.

The boots are shipped from Poland, that's in Central Europe, via priority
mail. They should arrive within 6-10 business days since they are
dispatched. It's a very good shipping method (I have NEVER lost a package,
and I have shipped over 1000 sets this way) but there is no tracking number.

Due to some countries' import limitations on certain goods, such as
"animal-related products", which is not specified but it may or may not
include leather (decision's up to the officer who processes them), I mark
all my packages with the following information:

"SYNTHETIC LEATHER PRODUCT SAMPLE."

Stating that it is synthetic leather allows to evade the import limitation
described above. The product IS genuine, top grade Italian leather though -
as you will know immediately after opening the package (by smell, if nothing
else).

I also want to tell you how to download your installation instructions. It's
right out there on my website at:

http://www.redlinegoods.com

Thank you for the business and best regards,
Maciek

How long ago did you order? I ordered 2 days ago but I did not get an e-mail yet. Just wondering...

I was in on a group deal from this same guy last year. Good quality; looks, smells, and feels like real leather.

I too was in that group deal, and I am very satisfied with my products. Perfect fit, and a huge improvement in the looks dept. compared to the stock crap. I got the ebrake boot and shift boot and have recently ordered the armrest cover as well. I'm no materials expert, but they sure look look, feel and smell like real leather to me.

Highly recommended!

Has anyone gotten the brown color. From the sample he shows it doesn't seem to match the stock brown.

Here's the original GD link - http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=202047.

If you're talking about the medium brown for the e-brake handle, as in the two-tone beige & brown interior, then NO it absolutely does not match. There was much discussion at the time whether or not a match could me made. When the source in Poland said 'yes I've got the color', a bunch of us with the two-tone interior signed up. When I got the boots, however, the black shift boot was top-notch, but the brown e-brake boot was totally off. It was more like a 'cedar' or 'redwood' color, not the medium brown stock color.

I returned the e-brake boot and even sent my original to Poland for color matching. That was back in May, and I'm still waiting to get a replacement (and/or receive my original back.) The last I heard, DanNY was trying to source some leather here in the US to match (or at least come close.) DanNY was the GD organizer, and I don't mean to talk trash about him, but this has gone on too long.

So anyway, my $.02. Look out for the brown, and good luck.
TOM

Got it and installed it yesterday. A bit of a pain to put the metal rod back in, but it was worth it. Very nice boot, an outstanding upgrade. My gripe....shipping from Poland takes weeks. I can snap some pics if need be.
