Ok, accidnetly reset the ecu and lost the cel. Gotta wait for it to come back now. Lets see who can guess the problem before the ecu tells me.

Clues:
Idle seems to be low, especially when in gears (auto)
Problem started the day of the blizzard
Idle is low when my heat is on
95 se w/ 70k
Its pretty cold out

Lets see who wins, even though i dont have anything to offer, well maybe a set of orange bumper lights if you pay shipping, or hyper white/blue fog bulbs if you pay shipping

 

bet its an evap or iacv code

 

Replace Engine code probably.

I was going to guess low blinker fluid, but why would cold weather affect that? I dunno.

 

maybe he has no line defroster on the light fluid reservoir, that will get ya every time........

 

yea maybe my automatic transmision fell out, i checked the blinker fluid but it seems to be normal, maybe its my clutch? i cant seem to find it, maybe its my drive shaft or brake bands?

 

climb under your car, follow the flux capacitor to your muffler bearing, give it a good shake, sometimes the darn spitzer valve in there goes bad and it will reverse the flow of your exhaust thus thrusting air back through the bearing.

HAHAHAHA yea my buddys ranger pick up had that same problem...... but seriously, you should be able to just turn the screw like you normally would to check codes, and it will still blink them out to you if there is a problem.

 

IACV, some coolant related ****, thermostat, tranny fluid, check the TCU for codes...

 

i will check the cel it came back today, had a really hard time starting the car, almost as if the bettery had died, started like a carb car, had to feed it gas so it would rev, other wise no start, wierd i tell ya

 

Dude that happened to me the other day, I had to give it gas for it to stay on or else it would shut off after running for 1-2 secs.

 

yup yup, got the codes... unfortunatly no one was right no no freebies lol,

and the answer is : Rear Heated O2 sensor
looks liek the thick snow i went over once or twice focked my sensor up, maybe its jsut loose or something, but i bet its fried form all the water getting in it or being knocked around too much

 

That may be the code you got, but that is not what is causing your idle speed to be low. The rear heated O2 sensor is not used by the ecu in closed loop operation. So somebody may still have provided the right answer. Probably needs a TB and IACV cleaning.

 

i have cleaned the throttl body before so i cant see that being the problem, wouldnt a problem like that slowly come,i mean one day i would start it up when it was cold and it would idle at a normal 1300 until it warmed up, now it was just idling at 400 - 500 rpms within a day, i doubt it can be a cleaning but i may be wrong, anyone got a write up on how to clean the iacv?
