aftermarket keyless entry install....please help!!!!

hello....I have found a few things to help me with the aftermarket keyless entry install for a 99 max...the only thing I don't understand is the double pulse lock thing...i know that it requires a relay, which I have, but other than that I don't know. If someone could please send me a diagram with the wires to clip and attach to and run to the relay with that would be a great help...thanks a bunch...this is very important, my poor max has had it's door panel off for two days now....by the way I have a 99 se..thanks

I'll be installing keyless entry/alarm on my 96 over Christmas. If you haven't figured it out by then I'll let you know (assuming I figure it out). I got mine on ebay, and the guy I got it from is really helpful...he probably wouldn't like me giving his name out to people that didn't buy from him though. haha. Do you have the maxima wiring diagram at all? If not, give me your email and I'll email it to you. If you figure this out before Christmas, let me know cause I might need your help too. haha.

You can go out and buy a double pulse relay from places that sell/install alarms. I know dei makes one, so if the shop installs any of dei products, they might have it. I don't have the product number right now, but can get it for you. Did you check the manual for the alarm/keyless entry, most new ones you can program for double pulse unlock.

I have an aftermarket alarm with keyless entry and it works fine except when the temperature gets below freezing. It usually will not unlock the doors when it is below freezing. It is a minor annoyance but I can live with it.

Hopefully I'll be working on mine next week...either I'll figure it out and maybe be able to help you, or we'll both be mad at our locks together. haha. If you tell me your specific problems, I'll ask my tech support guy I bought my K9 system from while I'm working on mine...maybe he'll be able to help. Good thing you waited to say all these problems until now or maybe I wouldn't have even bought mine! lol. I don't see how it would actually effect your heat unless you disconnected the wrong wires, but who knows with all those wires. I think it must take magic to get these cars to work.

thanks a bunch...my problem is that I need to hit the unlock button twice and on the second double pulsing unlocking action I have to hit and hold the unlock button for 2 second before it unlocks...I know this sounds confusing but If you think of it like this it may help: the maxima needs a double pulse unlock, no problem, so when you push the unlock button the parking lights flash twice...now you do this once right....then you hit the unlock button again....while the parking lights are flashing the second time on the second button press, aka the fourth parking light flash altogether, I must press and hold the unlock button a third time...thats right THREE TIMES....for the doors to unlock....locking is normal...push the button....locked....trunk same way...the heat is a completely unrelated problem...somehow the heat controller head blew...I need a new one so I'm in the market if anyone has a newish one sitting somewhere...anyway, anyone with some information about this all would be a huge help....I know some of you out there install these for a living....please help me....

wow what the hell are you guys talking about??? double pulse relays, lmao!!!

just program the system to double pulse unlock and your done!

then again, you bought a Black $hito so i wouldnt be suprised if it didnt have that option. IMHO I would have went with a DEI product.

but if you would like either post or e-mail me th exact model number of the system you bought and ill do the research for you and explain how to program it to double pulse for unlock, if it has that option

dei 452t Not actually a double pulse relay, but that's what I ment. Haven't used one in a while, since most new alarms you can program for double pulse unlock.

this is the kind of BS that causes people who are just looking for information to HATE this website....All I was asking for is a little help because I'm having a little bit of a rough time....I'm not just some dumb kid that just goes out and buys stuff....I'm a mechanic....this is my third car....I build my first two....I have never had keyless entry or even power door locks...I bought this max because it's a 99.5 se-l 5-speed....I researched before I bought this keyless entry....don't give me crap...I know what I bought and I didn't ask for your opinion...all I asked for was a little help and you go bad mouth what I bought...the DEI systems are nothing special....same crap bigger price tag.....All I wanted was keyless entry no big security system...I don't need it....please don't respond unless you can help me....thanks
