rca cables on stock hu?

rca cables on stock hu?

I have the stock 2k2 non bose head unit and im installing my w6v2 wth jl 500/1 to the hu what do i need to hook it up is there an adapter?

You'll need to pick up two high level converters which will tie into your factory speaker leads converting the speaker level into an RCA signal. Being that you are using a 4-channel amp, you will need two such as:

You wont be too impressed with the sound if you use better speakers with the original HU. The manufacturer generally matches up stuff so that they sound good. I see a new headunit in your future.

I disagree. I have upgraded all the speakers in my car still using the factory Non-Bose head unit and am quite happy with the sound quality. Granted, I'll end up upgrading to a DVD setup in the future, but I am not complaining about the sound quality whatsoever. My $.02
