My friend is not an org member and I need to know this asap so please answer and please do not move this elsewhere. My friend noticed weird gear switching in his automatic after a transmission oil change in "mr good oil" in chicago. Can anyone here specifically tell me what at trans oil should be put in my friends 02 SE? THank you in advance.

p.s. ...or perhaps direct me to where I can find the info - I can't search and I couldn't find anything in the 5th gen FAQ.

 

take it back to mr good oil and make that jacka__ fix it...

 

Just normal Dexron III/Mercon should do fine.

It's all good. We all make typos and we all can use some time off from work.

 

Dexron III is different from the old Dexron transmissikn fluid. I think it's synthetic. I use Mobil 1 ATF which had Dexron III qualifications.
