Need Input about which lowering springs to buy

K.....I need everyones input. I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima SE. Well I really hate the wheel gap and I think now its time for me to get new struts and lowering springs. I'm not looking into slamn my car really low. One reason is because I still have my stock 15" sawblade wheels. And I'm not going to get new wheels till the summer. So I'm looking for springs that will drop my car but yet still give a nice sporty look. I'm thinking of getting Eibach Springs that drop the max. 1.5"front and 1.3" rear. But some people say get the Sprint Lowering Springs that dorp the max car 2"s. What do you guys think.....

If anyone has pics with there max. lowered with sawblade wheels plz post. Thanks
- Ray

If you want a somewhat sporty look but nice ride, get H&R's. Everyone claims they are close to stock. If you want the low look get Sprints or Teins. Every one say's Sprints are too low and too harsh but I have them and dont find them to be unbearable. I dont know how the Teins ride but they are a little lower then Sprints.

I wanted to lower mine 1.5"-front and 1.3"-rear, but chaged my mine and went 2"-front, and 1.6"-rear. I'm so glad i changed my mind because the lower look is awsome and the ride is very comfortable considering the drop. I have Matrix springs and they were harsh at first but a day or three after installation, they became even more comfy and now i love them. I wouldnt change a thing. hope this helps.

coilovers, if you live where it snows there are a must imo. unless you like snowplowing for free. also you can slam it if you feel like it or give yourself more shock travel. what could be better.

Arospeeds suck! I had them before my sprints and hated them. They were lower in the rear then in the front and Im 5 speed. They were also too soft.

Here is a pic of H&R's on my stock 16's. The springs are great, and still a nice ride mixed with the right shock...KYB/AGX's will make it stiffer.

--However be warned-- 5-Speed's mixed with H&R's as well as a couple of other springs can give a bad rear sagging look. I have a small spacer in the rear coils to raise it up slightly.

This is a 1.5 drop (H&R/KYBAGX)

Doesn't look very low but I wanted a somthing close to stock springs (very comfy). But it sounds like you want something lower if I were you go with Teins or Sprints.

Gosh, everyone has an opinion around here... why not let the man choose by what he expects out of the spring/shock combo:
