My Silverstars burned out! Grrrr :(

Damn their like 1.5 years old!

Well first one bulb went, then the other went (the next day). Just the low beams, hi's still work. Now their useless ofcourse. I think becuase the one filament went out, their was more current available for the other bulbs filament to use, so the extra current was more then what the filament was used to over the bulbs life. Just a theory

I think I'm gonna try Wagner Truview's

http://www.federal-mogul.com/cda/con...682758,00.html

Anyone try them?

Good stuff, all the noise went away. Bendix IQ is good stuff and they go for like $30-40.

My dad has silverstars in his maxima, actually I should say had... We bought a pair less than 6 months ago, about a month ago on a trip to oregon one of them burn't out. When I got home we replaced it, 2 weeks later the other one burn't out, instead of buying another silverstar we just put in a normal bulb. We're just going to go with HID's next, or if we stay Halogen it will be the XD5's NubianNupe recommends. I know that there is a difference between the US and imported ones and that the US ones suck, but this is just rediculous.
Never buying silverstars again, what a waste.

I just put in the XD5s that Nupe recommended. So far, I like the improved lighting. I don't know about longevity, though.

Before:

After:

It's hard to tell the difference in the pics, but they are a lot brighter, and bluer -- I just hope I don't get pulled over for it -- the lights especially look blue when they are turned off.

I had the stock headlights. They were probably the original ones, but I don't know that for sure.

The set of XD5s I got are stock wattage (45/65) because I didn't want to fry my stock harness. They make the same bulbs in 80/100, but I would say burn up your harness at your own risk. Mine are a lot better than stock, but ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby! (HID)

Now I have to get them for my fogs because they look ugly underneath the crisp light the headlights put out.

I can't take much credit for those bulbs, Nubiannupe recommended them to me.

I've had piaa's before, the low beam wasn't brite enough, I ended up giving them to a friend.

So I was able to find a store that carries the Wagner Truview (Napa), they were a bit expensive @ $15/piece but there is a rebate to get a third one for free! What the heck am I going to do with a third one! I guess it'll be a spare.

Diego, whats the part number for the Bendix pads (Or what car is it for). Were you able to get front and rear, or just front?
