Costco price for a 93 maxima battery is about 55 bucks, did anyone use those? Sounds terribly cheap to be true...

I love mine, get as many CCA's as possiable. This battery has been in my old black max, durango, white max, and mustang. Mustang is by far the worst because it sits for long periods of time and needs the mechanical fuel pump to push all the fuel back up to the engine, so there is lots of cranking. It will easily kill a 600cca battery

 

well you get what you pay for

 

I bought my Optims blue top from Costco. Only complaint was that I didnt look at the GD section of th .org. Could have saved $$$

 

not always the case, look at some of stillens products.
Costco's batteries are good, I highly recommend them, they have good warrenties aswell, not that I've needed to use it.

Basically I've put my battery hell and I've never had a problem. I've never really drained it completely, but i've gotten it pretty close to all the way. No mattery what, just get a battery with as many CCA's as you can.

 

you need reserve more than CCA

 

Ive had mine for like 7 months and no complaints at all. Great warrenty, great price, ive left my stereo on for well over an hour and still cranked no problem.. thats a 5 channel amp and sub im talking about. and you get the never ending costco return policy

 

I just bought one from costco, and it olny cost me $37. I works just fine, and I have my whole stereo done.

 

FWIW, Consumer Reports rated the Kirkland Costco batteries fairly highly several months ago.

I agree, the price is quite good, and the one my parents are using is still fine years later. I'm probably going to get one myself once my Megatron conks out.

 

I would say a Costco (Kirkland) battery is going to do just fine. They have a good track record and most stores are very good about their returns, just keep the receipt.

I had a Kirkland battery in my 86 Mustang GT. It came with the car and I drove it for a year with no problems. Sometimes I would go several days or even a week (especially in the winter when it gets pretty cold here) without driving it and the fuel pump and starter motor always sounded like they were getting plenty of juice.

 

The Kirkland batterys are great. I put one in my brothers car, and my wifes. No problems.

 

i put one in my 93, after 15 minutes of the doors open( no door panels, no no lights and the radio on it wouldnt crank over. good for regular use , sucks for anything else

 

My Cosco battery worked for 4/5 years here in San Diego. $55 sounds kinda high; mine was about $40. Their warranty is good. Just take it out at the 50% pro-rate mark and they'll give you half your money back to buy a new one!!! I know it sounds kinda sheisty but it's better than waiting for it to go bad.
