hood lift/shock

well i just bought some new hood lifts but they don't keep the hood up any better than the last ones. does it make a diffrence which way you install them or is there a more heavy duty one to use?

what brand did you get? It seems like some guys on the org liked one brand more than some others.

I just got Strong Arms and they work great I put them in the wrong way and they still worked, but it took them out and put them back in the way the stock ones were.

i did get the strong arms from advanced auto. maybe its because theres a little snow stuck under the bra that adds to much weight. which way is the correct way to put them in.

The big black "cylinder" base thing is connected to the hood and the little piston is connected to the car. That's how mine was before so I put it in that way

Mine holds up fine even with a layer of ice on the hood (was refilling the washer fluid a few days ago). See if it holds up, if not, then make the lifetime warranty useful

How would 1 go about doing 1 of these hood shocks on a CF hood? Does any1 have instructions or a site where i can get directions on how to install them? Im tired of using a broom stick.
