Am I Leaving Anything Out

Last post failed for some reason. lets try again!!

New VTC Kit $28ea. Those dont look anything like what I expected.

New Knock sensor $135

New Full Gasket kit $212

New set Exhaust Studs, nuts, washers $30

Mad Mad That Don,t Rattle $PRICELESS$

Let me know if there is anything that I missed or need. Is there any thing I should look for or replace while I'm there??

Mine's an SE I have 3 expensive chains. They only have 75,000 miles. They better last longer than that.

You do not need to pull the heads. That will save you atleast $100 in parts.

btw, thanks for the list, I'll be doing this stuff on another car in a few weeks too, hehheehe (well I didn't need to know the parts, but blah). Theres going to be 2 northwest maximas torn apart soon (and probably 2 more this weekend, lol)

I looked up the VTC replacement on ALLDATA. They actually recomend that you remove the head. That way you can clean out the oil galleys. There is also a jet in the bottom that should be cleaned out.

I need to remove broken studs too. I might need to remove the head. The only way Nissan had the Gaskets was in a kit. Pretty much the same price seperate either way>
