hey guys just recently i hit the button on my remote to open my trunk and when i did it made the usual clicking sound like it released the pin. but when i went to open the trunk it had not released. i went inside the car and pushed the button from there and it made the noise like it released, but again it hadnt released. i can open my trunk w/ my key w/ no problem so i couldnt fig if the auto release mechanism was broken. the dealer said maybe the cable broke? but where is this cable and what does it do? thanks for the help

 

open your trunk with key, and see where it latches, take a flat head screw driver and pry around up in there. it can get hung ! you will here a click or something, then shut hood and try again.

 

There is a small "switch" on the Trunk mechnisim that "Locks Out" the use of anything but the key to open the trunk. Flip it the opposite direction and problem sloved.
