that is so ghetto, the real wide bodies are fiberglassed down to the outsides, and is a whole kit. Even if you do it itll look weird without a skirt or lip.

You have to get a 6 piece flare kit to work on a Maxima. 4 piece flares really only work on 2 doors. If you look at the pic, you wouldn't be able to open the rear doors if you installed those flares without cutting them down.

In another month, my car will finally be done and painted and you'll see what I'm talking about. But be prepared to spend a couple of grand in body work to get it right. It may only be $98 for the flares, but they don't actually fit the Maxima. it's just "universal" ones that you have to extensively modify to work. You'll have to cut them into sections to match them up to the wheel arches, extend them in some parts, cut them back in others, refiberglass, and mold to the car.

I would only do a widebody convertion on a RWD car so I can put some fat rims on there.

I am sure if you had the right resources, knew the right people to do the work, and money was not an issue, I believe it could actually look nice. I am not sure exactly what it would look like, but I am sure some of the artists here on the org could have fun with that idea and come up with some creative sketches. This would not be your "out-of-the-box" kit, that's for sure. lata! -Jeremiah

There is someone with a widebody on this site, aside from Jeff*, not to mention 'teddybear' which is a 5th gen.

*I assume you have it the way you phrased it.

well if u put them on unpainted then u can go and get some 13" 150 spoke gold rims and make them stick out about 3 miles and put them on......that would just look beautifull. but other then that they look ALRIGHT, i think if they actualy had the real reneder flares would look alot better. Im not drilling no fuccing holles in my fenders.
