?s about uping boost and hp on v1

right now im running a 99 5spd with the v1, 3.33 pulley, the rest is the standard stillen kit. with this set up now i am seeing 9psi at 40 degrees and below. i want to install the mevi, 3.125 pulley, cai, fpr, 370cc, 8:1 fmu disc, and s-afc II. i am just looking for a little guidance to make sure this set up will function well. any comments or thoughts would be appriciated. thanks

You'll need to turn down the base fuel pressure to ~26psi withOUT the JWT ECU and use a 6:1 FMU disk for the 370s to keep fuel pressure at ~80psi. HOWEVER, double check with someone who actually has a SC.

Using www.rceng.com, you'd be good for ~380bhp assuming a BSFC=0.60, injector DC=80%, and 79psig of fuel pressure.

You sure its going to be that much with the 3.125? or are you talking about how much the injectors can handle at that pressure? With that setup, he will probably see around 300-310 whp?

Just what 370s at that pressure should "safely" support.

380whpx0.85 = ~323whp, so he should be fine, right?

Just conservative estimates, I wouldn't want that high of fuel pressure personally, but at 80% duty cycle with 370s, he might bring down the pressure some.

I'm a lil hazey on the FMU ratios myself. Gonna be running a V1 setup with 3.25" pulley, CAI, 370's w/FPR, walbro pump, and a VI (which is already on the car). The thing that I'm confused on is whether to use a 3:1, 4:1 or 6:1 disk with this setup. Guess with all the hear say I see, most people use the 3:1 but then there are others that use different. I understand the RC engineering calculations but calculations and real world senarios can be different from time to time as well. Anyone clear this up for me? Thanks

yes... I have the same question... I will be running.
V1,MEVI, 2.87, FMIC, CAI, Walbro, FPR. I am not sure which disk I should be using either, beacuse im not too sure what my HP numbers are... I guess hooking it up to a wideband would tell me, but I would like to know, so I can get the disks ahead of time. I guess a little more perssure is ok, because I can always lean it wit hthe AFC, but I dont want excessive. I was thinking if I were to use the 6:1 disk:, it would be alright, because at WOT, the DC will probably be at 100% beacuse the MAF will be saturated.. so that would be good for around 475 BHP.
But like keith said... real world results might vary.. so hmmm..

also: is it safe to run the 370's at that pressure?

i forgot to include the walboro 255l pump. running the 3.125, mevi,370cc, cai, s-afcII with an fmu what fmu disc would be the best and is this a farley safe efficient set up for 320 or so whp? thanks guys

so basically i should just keep the disc that came with the kit which is the 6:1. when i hit 4000rpm my fuel/air ratio drops straight to rich now. so with the bigger injectors i will be flowing more fuel and will be able to control all this with the s-afcII. of course i will need a fpr but this setup should work well ........
that would do fine right?

I think so. 8:1 would be way rich with the 3.125" pulley. Or you could go with no fmu, stock fuel pressure and a Z32 maf and retain an air-flow referenced system. See my related thread.
