I did a simple little aftermarket alarm LED mod today and did a writeup

I was bored today and have been thinking about doing this for a while. As most of you know I like a clean factory type look to my stuff. I decided to put the led for the alarm in the factory security slot on the gauge cluster. I unplugged my factory alarm because it messed up anyway. I installed a CrimeStopper remote start alarm a few weeks back and waited until I decided on what to do for the led before finishing it up.

Today I got out there and did this LED mod.

Its no big deal or anything but figured I would share since its the first write up I have done (I really should do some for some of the other stuff I have done to my car).

I dont know how long this will be on my site because I asked Craig to put it on his IF he has the space.

I used an LED because it draws less current than the factory bulb. I have had my battery run down from the security bulb flashing (when I had my hood off) so with the LED it shouldnt be a problem (its the same thing as having the led on your column but only in a different location).

your feedback, criticism, and sugestions are all welcome.

Cool! I miss my CF Bezel

I think I'm going to have to get an aftermarket alarm. My stock one is being and it always blinks, Craig was helping me out with figuring out whats wrong with it, but I'd like to have a keyless entry anyway.
