This car was in car and driver a little more than a year ago and was featured in the prototype cars section. This thing did have an accord engine in it but you could also have the option to put in an upgraded engine as well. I think this car ran for about half a mil.

$500,000?! Where did you hear that? It's made to be the cheap man's roadster. I believe it's more like under $50,000, INCLUDING an old Accord parts car. If I remember right, it's like $20,000 or something for the kit to make it...plus you need an Accord to yank the engine and other parts out of. And there are also some other parts you need to supply yourself, but nothing big. That doesn't include price to have it constructed though. I think it's something like just under $40,000 to buy one already-constructed.

Why is it so cheap? Take a look at the interior and what not. There isn't a whole lot to the car...but people see the styling and stuff and expect it to be $$$ It's not like it's a Ferrari with a V12 in it
