Not worth it. Get yourself some real h.I.d.'s like phillips or hella.. Any german made ballasts... I had the hanabi h.I.d.'s. The ballasts burned in 8 months...

my hanabi ballasts are still kicking with no problems what so ever. People have mixed reviews. Bottom line for me is that you have to keep your ballast dry. I wrapped mine in a light foam that just keeps stray droplets away. Working so far!

Considering the percentage of Hanabi owners that have had serious problems, I doubt it's as simple as the ballasts getting wet. Especially since Hanabi kits have had problems with bulbs more so than with ballasts.

As for wrapping your ballast in foam, that sounds pretty dumb to me. If you're worried about the ballast getting wet, why would you wrap it in a material that holds moisture? It would make WAY more sense to wrap it in duct tape or some other waterproofing type wrap. Come to think of it, spraying the entire unit in a plasticized underbody coating material would probably work REALLY well.

Those ballasts look like the same ones that came with my McCulloch kit, I had one burn out within 2 months.

the bassast getting wet does alot. everytime mine gets wet i have an extra ballast that i stoick in there. i let the other one dry out and switch it when another one gets wet. being wet has alot to do with the hannibi kits.

hanabis are made from a korea based company called "Vision company." Their parts are known to be cheap and ...as many of us have seen...blow out quicker than usual.

If that's the case, why don't you waterproof the vulnerable to water ballast? It's not brain surgery.

HID's suck IMO. It's an attempt at making a BMW out of a Maxima - never gonna happen
