Has anyone Ever installed Olace Racing CAI?

I just installed it myself and now the check engine light comes on. I bought the thing off ebay for about $60 so i had to use one of those links on the how to forums. I Just have a few extra questions for yall who know what yall doing.
1) On the short pipe what is the little hole for?
2) On the stock air box there is somthing that is screwed on the box. On one end it looks like a sensor and on the other end there is a plug. I know where to plug it in at i just don't know where to put the little sensor thingy at. what do i need to do with that.

If yall can help me out can yall PM me?

Thanks,

Mark

You probably got a CEL because you didn't connect the air temp sensor(the thing in the stock airbox) take it out and just shove it in the intake somehow, whatever works...

Then reset ECU and be on your way.

If you're talking about the boost sensor, I have mine zip-tied to my battery cable. It doesn't matter much where this is.

As for resetting your ECU: That's only neccessary if you have a CEL. Do you?

Damn...I just re-read this thread...you do have a CEL as stated in your 1st post.

I missed that the first time. I gotta get my priorities straight; pay less attention to the job I'm at and more attention to the .org

About resetting your ECU: Everything will be clear when you follow the instructions beneath your name.

Ok "nitrous"???? Anyways.... i installed my Place Racing CAI a few weeks ago. Thats the Intake Air Temperature Sensor... you need to remove that and the rubber grommet from the stock intake and put that into the hole on the bottom of yor intake. Then plug the sensor into it. With that hole open your just sucking in unfiltered air. And make sure all the hoses are plugged into the midpipe and that should solve your problem.

You should also have a total of 3 rubber hoses (thats what i have on my 01, not sure about yours) hooked up to the intake, a big one from the crankcase to the end of the short pipe and then 2 smaller hoses

Yeah CEL = Check Engine Light and SES = Service Engine Soon light. But anywho, when you pulled the stock intake tubing out, you had to pull the Intake air temp sensor out of the tubing. That sensor was stuck in a 1.5" rubber grommet. just move them both to the hole in the new intake.

Sorry it took me so long to reply ,ive been at work all day. You dont have to unscrew it just twist it till it pops out, kinda like a cork in a bottle.

If i remember correctly it should be on the side or underside of the stock intake tubing. Its about an inch wide and made of black rubber. It is right where you had to pull that sensor out of when you removed the stock intake piping.

One of my freinds told me that the 95-96 sensors are a little different than the 97 98 ones which is what i think the PR CAI made thier hole to adjust to.Here is a picture of one that looks like mine
