ok so here is my problem when i slam on the gas like hold it all the way down my max stalls it wont like go inot the next gere like i have to wait a bit maby like 5 to 7 seconds seconds before it kicks in my car is automatic so i was wondering if any of you have any advice on what to do. could it be that a CAI is really dirty and i have to clean out the air filter or is it somthing with the trans or somthing totay diffrent.
o ****, i hope what happen to me doesnt happen to u, same thing happen to me when my tranny went, it had to reach a certain rpm then it jerked and started to go, check to see if your tranny is leaking if not then its probably your cai but i doubt the cai would be that drastic into accelerating so slow like that.

aite look **** the tranny rebuild for now, sounds like your car needs some maintenance, the only way u know u need a tranny rebuild is if u keep burning out like my dumbass used to do. start the car up and see if the tranny is leaking, if anything dont rebuild its going to end up being more money unless its underwarantee, jus by a used one like idid i bought a 40k mile tranny from a 99se for 380 dollars

I had that problem a while ago i had to purchase a new tranny also. That sucks so much. it was because my tranny fluid was dark black and thick instead of red. I should have changed it buy i was stupid. By the way if you're tranny has over 100,000 miles and you need to change the fluid get it "POWER FLUSHED." not just a standard flush.
Anyways SyOp your tranny as you know it is electronically controlled which means when you have it floored at 30 mph it has to go through your ECU and all that fun stuff."I have the same problem" If your air filter is dirty however do change it you will see a difference. Also Spend the extra money and get the K&N it's worth it. Your tranny is not going out don't worry about it. Keep your tranny healthy by not using overdrive all the time and not manually shifting it all the time. And finally if your tranny has over 100,000 miles on it and you need to change the fluid. POWER FLUSH it. Trust me on that one. You don't want to install a new tranny. It puts a hell of a dent in your wallet.

From what it sounds like is that one of your clutch packs is gone. And the VB mod only changes shift points by changing the way fluid is circulated in the trans. this would only make the cituation worse. You have a couple of choices 1. test it out, or have it looked at to make sure its the trans. I have heard of people buying new ones only to find out it was a pinched or coroded wire in the trans electrical harness. or
2. go out and buy a max with a manual
