clearing door pillars

i just removed the faded vinyl stickers off my door pillars... but i didnt do a particularly good job, and there was lots of crap left. ive just been rubbing it off with my thumb, and i get most of it off. but there are some parts where its just some residue left. goo gone hasnt really been working too good. how to get it all off?

also, on the edges, and particularly the corners, i didnt quite get all of the tape... best way to get the rest of that?

Goo gone worked well for me, for some of the stubborn stuff use Bug and Tar remover. I used a very thin putty knife very carefully so as to not scratch the paint to get under it in the corners. It took a couple hours to do the whole job but it turned out very well.

Any hardware store (home depot, lowes, etc) should have them. It's just a wide, thin, dull blade used for spreading putty, caulk, sealants, stuff like that. Even though the blade is pretty dull, you still have to be careful not to scratch anything.

I must've been lucky, I just constantly heated the vinyl with a cheap hair dryer from wal-mart...and once I started peeling it all came off nicely. For the little amount of adhesive that lagged behind I used this new stuff from "DUCK", it had a built in scraper and smelled like oranges The green looks ALOT better than the black vinyl...although at night you cant hardly tell the difference because my car looks black
