you will achieve no performance gains whatsoever.

the pedal stop is there to prevent you from mashing it in and stressing/damaging the entire throttle assembly, including the throttle body.

You know what I did? Not only did I take that piece off, I took a saw to the floor so I can push the accelerator pedal down to the ground! I can accelerate like you wouldn't believe! Why anyone would pay for a turbo kit when all they need is a saw is beyond me.

I don't know if this is a share piece b/w 01's & 02's, but I do know that there was a recall for 02's and a bump stop for the accelerator pedal....Could Nissan have tinkered with this piece on 02's?

my friend took his accelerator pedal stopper off.... he went shaved off .5 off his 1/4 time on his Rotary Maxima. Seen it in person... I'm hopping mine will yield the same results !

I had the dealer remove it before I even picked up the car. Now I can hit top speeds of 180mph!!!

You are just increasing pedal travel and opening up the throttle more. A Grand National will gain .2 sec in the 1/4 by removing the floor mat. Not because the floor mat weighs 200lbs, but because you are opening the throttle all the way.

just kinda makes me wonder why nissan would install this. how much damage can actually be done to the throttle body by opening it up a little more??

have a helped put the pedal to the floor, once its there, see if there is any more left on the throttle body (there isnt but ).

I wouldn't take it off because you could risk stretching the cable. Granted I need to find mine and put it back on (had it off because I put new carpet in).

I didn't think our throttle body had cables, I thought it was that "drive by wire" stuff????

Remove it and it can go to "11". (ref: Spinal Tap)

You have a 2k2 with throttle-by-wire. He has a 2k1 with cables.

No, I still have the AE. I want to get a new car within a year, so I haven't put any more money into it. I might put it back to stock this summer to sell it.

I've been very busy at work and I'm living with my gf now, so that takes time away from being online.

What are these "mods" that you've done to your car? I thought it was going to stay mildly modded forever?
