You mean TPS, throttle position sensor? If so then it will, but not likely unless the TPS is completely dead. My trans ECU is giving me a TPS code but not the ECU itself.

Yea I ment throtle position sensor. If you replace the engine block, does it involve removing it or you can work your way around it?

The TPS is the black box on the throttle body, on the right side facing the firewall. It's just 2 little screws holding it in. Keep in mind that when you remove it, you have install it with proper specs. The resistance should be around 500 ohms reading pin one on the connector.

So removal of TPS is not required when you replace your entire block?

You can remove it along with the throttle body. If the throttle body doesn't have to go then just leave the TPS alone. It should be in the same place on both 4th and 5th gens.

removal of the wire bundle to the TPS via a connector is required when replacing an engine, yes.
