but no cutting means your not getting a true cold air intake, because the filter will just be sitting in the engine bay sucking in hot air.... the only way for us to run a cold air is to CUT....

SO, there must be some members that have this , it would really help us (maybe just me, cuz you already ordered) if we knew the answer...

come on memebers... spill it

but there is a ve30de maxima cai somewhere that goes up to the back of the headlight then drops down that doesnt need any cutting. but the cosmo intake if you look at the pic of it theres going to have to be some cutting which doesnt bother me

I made Mr. Gone's CAI that way. MUCH less cutting. Just a small bracket needs to be cut off that no one ever uses unless they still have their stock intake.

I have the cosmo intake.....it's sitting in my living room though. There was a thread a while back and a few members verified from the pic on the auction that it is shaped like it goes into the fenderwell. So it supposedly DOES require cutting.

Why is it sitting in the house? I just got it yesterday and I'm waiting till next week to put it in when I will have access to the right tools. It looks well-made, but it's the only CAI I've ever seen in person so I don't have anything to compare it to. The filter was not pre-oiled, which is no biggie, and on the shorter of the two pipes there are some rough edges where the vacuum tubes come out of it, also not a big problem.

The filter was not a K & N, and shipping was maybe a week or so.
