**New Pic** Debadged and re-badged

Finally got around to debadging my car yesterday. Took MAXIMA off and put an SE emblem under the right lense off of an '02 Spec V. The whole process only took me about 20 minutes. Didn't need to heat the emblems up to get them off. Just took fishing line and sawed them off, then used mineral spirits to get the rest of the adhesive off. I then used black silicon to put the SE emblem on. Very worthwhile. Looks so much cleaner than before, and different than most Maximas i've seen too. I know my car's dirty, it's been raining for the past couple days, so no point in washing it. I'll try to get a better pic soon, i just ran out a couple minutes ago and took it before i have to go to work. Let me know what you guys think.

roflol, that'd be hilarious.

I'm surprised you didn't take the Nissan "burger" off and leave the MAXIMA on. I sawed 'em all off and am still waiting for the paint to finish adjusting. It's been about a month now.

i was thinking of taking the burger off, but as i said, i thought it would look too bare. the SE is off of my neighbors Spec V that you can see in my cardomain site. He debadged it and happend to break the R off of the bottom of the SE so i used that. yeah, i can still see the outline of the MAXIMA emblem too, kinda ****in me off cause i hoped it wouldn't show like when i took the pinstripes off. thanks for the comments. anyone else like or dislike it?

hmm I think I would like it better if you had red/clears but we all know how hard that is to get.

But it still looks good.

I was thinking of shaving it all off and putting a slightly bigger nissan emblem on to minimize that giant space on our ***. What do you all think?

btw, I do have red/clears for my 95, so keep that in mind!

i think the emblem is big enough, but that's IMO. I like the red/clears, but as you said they are hard to get and i'm not all that crazy about them, i like altezzas (rice!). I'm either gonna get carbon fiber or chrome lenses, cause anythings better than stock. if you do put a bigger emblem on, let me know how it goes. maybe something else to do.

yeah, now that I look at the pic again, it's a close up so there might be some parallax (sp?) distortion stretching the azz a little. Probably looks more proportional in real life! I'll take pics when I get the time!

i think the burger looks a little goofy up there all by itself. i think it looks better, if you're going to de-badge, to remove the burger, and keep the "maxima" lettering

I also would keep the "Maxima" lettering, but that SE emblem looks good. Original.
