pioneer HU install writeup??

i have a 2002 max, and a 2001 pathfinder. the 6 cd changer broke recently and i got a pioneer head unit to replace it. i've been searching for a writeup on a stereo install but haven't been successful so i'm turning to you guys. the most resourcesful ppl i know.

i know this is a maxima forum but since i don't know a pathfinder one i was hoping u members could help me out. if someone could give me a link or an email with a writeup of how to install one of these pioneer head units into a pathfinder, that would be gREAT.

You can check out http://npora.ipbhost.com/index.php?act=idx and see if anyone over there has installed a headunit. There are a couple Pathfinders in my family and I have read some useful stuff over there - it just may take a couple days to get a response. Good luck!

Get a Nissan wiring adapter, if you haven't already, then it's just red to red, blue to blue, etc. The colors are an industry standard - for the most part. They are also all labeled, so start by matching colors and then double check the labels. Also you will need a Nissan antenna adapter and most likely a dash mount. They are all cheap. The wire adapter will be $5, the dash kit $10 or $15, and the antenna adapter should only be like $7.

Installing an HU is really the easiest thing to do in car audio. It's pretty self explanitory.

When I installed my Pioneer I got everything I needed from Crutchfield. I got the adapter and dash kit for what I thought was real cheap but I don't remember the price. Give them a call.
