Bose Radio LCD goes on & off

I have a Bose radio and the LCD display comes and off. Now it stays off more than on. Does anyone now what would cause the radio LCD display to do this. I'm thinking it may be a loose wire in back of radio. It all started when I put on my suspension upgrades Eibach Pro Kit and AGX struts. Any Ideas what has caused the problem.

Does it still work even though the LCD doesn't produce a readout?

Yes the radio does still work but don't disconnect the battery or ya loose the presets on the radio. When you can't see the LCD you have to hear and set stations from there. I have to do this now.....

the display on my radio doesnt work either. Hasnt worked since i got the car on thursday.

Might be a common power problem. the rest of the radio/cd player works great.

I doubt it's related to your suspension work.

As you live in a big city you should have no problem finding a local company that has experience repairing your unit, and this is a very common problem. Call your Nissan dealer service department and ask them if they offer this repair or know somebody local that can do it. I did this was referred to a repair company that charges 75.00 plus parts to fix anything that is wrong with it -- cheaper than replacing the entire unit. My display only goes out occasionally, so I will wait until it is dead before I spend any money.

Mine used to do it but it stopped now. Probably just a fuse that I replaced in the course of installed my interior glow.

sounds like a simple SMR, 470 ohm thats the source of my problems. Will check it this weekend when I have the time to take it apart..

Thanks much for pointing me to that how to.

Looks like a few ppl have this problem in this thread, so I'm gonna directly link to the fix:
http://madchef.5u.com/maxima/bose/fixes.html

But like Kevlo said, it's in the How-To's.

Good luck.
