Well, you probably have to use 92+

octane but you already probably do that. The JWT ecus advance the timing, adjust the fuel curve and raise the rev limits. All of which are good things. But if you ever want to SC or Turbo your car, you will need the ecu re-programed. If you are considering a ecu made by a maker other than JWT, it's a crap shoot. You run the risk of:

1) Getting the exact same ecu unmodified!
2) Gains are done only by a timing advancement which really makes your engine detonation prone.
3) No increase in the rev limitor or elimination of the speed limitors(if you have any)
4) Ecus not made by JWT are typically not nearly as complete in terms of fuel/timing/etc...

what about a Stillen ECU?

have you guys heard bad things about it? When I first got the ECU I could tell a little bit of difference in HP. (4-5?) but now it seems like that my HP has gone downhill. Part of it my be that I have a Stillen intake instead of CAI. But aren't parts by the same company supposed to work better together....I don't know just rambling. I have crappy luck with Stillen stuff!

Check Shing's bbs under classified

for Got Rice's prices for JWT ECU's. But I don't know how much a custom programed ecu for a SC'ed Maxima would be.

They run about $565.00.. they give a gain of 10-12 hp, takes off your speed limit gov, remaps air/fuel ratio and increases your redline..
If interested contact me...
