I did not get cut up while changing the knock sensor
After my first attempt last night at loosening the screw I broke my 5-way vacuum hose connector. Replaced that and this time I took off all of the vacuum hoses and unclipped that green wire connector nearby. With those sharp edges I can see where people have been getting cut up.
Despite my best efforts I could not turn the extension bar with the knock sensor/screw and get the screw to thread in. Even the suggestion of a magnet wouldn't have worked either. I tried slipping in my right hand but the angle wasn't good and my disposable rubber glove got chewed up from the edges. Gloveless I then used this product:

This is bees wax that is used for protecting your hands while gardening. I slapped some on and boy was it easy to slide my left hand in. Kind of like sticking your whole arm in a cow's behind when they're calving! I easily threaded the screw in and the worst part was over! Slipped my hand out and not a scratch on me!

i dunno about stickin my hand in a cows behind, but i was lucky and i had a hot chick in a dress change my knock sensor for me when my hands wouldnt fit. we also got a good view of he bending over into my engine bay.
special tool
I remember a thread mentioning that changing the knock was 100x easier using a 'swivel' tool? I forget and I can't find it. I have a mini wrnech set with 8mm-14mm. I know everyone recommends to have a longer wrench to apply more torque. Has anyone done it with a smaller wrench?
//Also, I'm getting a knock and rear O2 codes. Should I just switch both or does one of priority over another? meaning should I change one and then drive it around, or should I just do both.

I don't think that everyone that changes it would exaggerate. People have spent lots of money on things and freely say whether or not it was worth it.

I had my knock sensor changed as well...but forgot to properly reset the ECU last week. Will have to do it today.
Does this mean I did not get the gains a knock sensor change would give until the reset?
Just curious. BTW, the .org member who did mine did it in 15 min with a huge magnet that could even drive the screw as it was so strong. This was his first time as well.
