'00-'01 front headlights-I don't like mine.Alternative?

I don't really like my 2000 headlights. The house has that ugly yellow shell ripple look at the sides. Is there any alternative thing I can do to it? I don't wanna spend alot of money for HID's & get it ripped off the next day and those cheap blk housing replacements make the car look abit ricey. I've seen larrio do something to his lights..not sure what he really did( good/bad) opinions?. What about Eyelids? Any other alternatives?

I'm in the same boat as you. The only other option I've come across is a cheaper (than the '02+ lights) HID kit but they are still $400-$500.

Well, most people like the Anneversery edition headlights, Or you can go with the HID headlights from the 02-03 models.

here's some smaller pics that show both the markers and the silver bulbs....
my side markers I used dupli-color enamel (the Nissan black) but I bet you could do them in gray lustre and that would look sweet - as you can see a light coat of any enamel shines through pretty good..

in that last group they are earlier pics where I used a "smoke" colored enamel. I decided they didn't look good with the black car (smoke is a litle grayer than black) so I took the turpentine, cleaned them off, and re-did it with gloss black and a clearcoat. Now it looks MUCH better and when lights are off they are a perfect color match for the car's body color...

I've got some of their engine enamel (DE1615 Aluminum) left over from painting my calipers. That should work pretty good right? Or is the heat protection not quite enough for a bulb (500 instead of 1200)?

you don't need engine enamel. The bulbs do not get THAT hot...regular silver enamel works fine...I used dupli-color silver, in one of the small cans that you can buy at any auto store.....

You can buy the halogen projector housing it's a direct swap for 00 - 01 and they cost 269-300$ and to my taste they look quite good, there available in black or chrome. That's what I'll be doing soon, the 2k2 housing are nice but too expensive. Here is a link: http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design004

Cheers

If you don't want to spend any money on other lights, and you like the headlights you got. 3M has a product called plastic polish and it works great-I just cleaned my headlights with them.
