There seem to be a lot of them on Ebay. Since there is not a large demand for these, the price will probably drop over time.

Yeah, they're getting cheaper because more and more vendors are selling them now. I've seen some on Ebay as low as $223.95, plus $34.95 for shipping. I may get some before winter breaks out.

They are getting cheaper because they only cost 50$... you get the idea.

You can afford to cut the price when your supplier is letting go for so low... simple matter of economics.

Has anyone used these with the HIDs at all? Do they work? Does it distort the light pattern and make it look worse?

I am all about getting diff. lights, but not at the expense of loosing the HIDs and the excellent coverage they already have. The HIDs were one of 3 reasons I upgraded to a 2k2 when they came out. (others were 255hp and 6 spd)

I had called this ebay seller about the black ones & they said that they were not in stock and had problems with quality so they sent them back. I ordered from procarparts....

FYI

The projector's use an H3 halogen bulb and won't work with the HIDs. PhxBlue retrofitted some valeo projectors into the projector housing, which looked insane, but was a lot of customization.

They say they are plug and play with no modifications necessary. But is that the case with the installs? I doubt it, there is probably some splicing that is necessary.
