Fog Light Choices

I orginally wanted the stock Maxima foglights for my car. So I gave Nissan a call and got a crazy price. $350 for the fog lights and another $300 for installation. There in no way I'm going to pay that. Thats more than my HIDs! Anyways, is there any good alternative for the Max? The stock ones look so sweet but just too much. I was thinking about buying used ones and installing them myself, but than I would have to cut and make holes and I don't really want to mess with that. So any good fog light alternatives? Thanks in advance.

Mike

Thanks for the link. But I was looking something more along the lines of someone posting a picture of their Maxima with different fogs.

you can pick up the stock fogs for much cheaper than that and install them yourself, just post here on the org in the classifieds and check ebay and other maxima forums

I know that. I just wasn't feeling the installation though. How would I cut out the crate things. Us 95-96 guys have our fogs covered up while you 97-99 guys don't, right? Thats the only problem I see. I could deal with the electrical.

the installation is easy. i did it in my car. i didnt have the factory ones, and i put them in. of course, i have a 1997. but i really cant see it being that much more difficult. it seriously took me like 30 minutes, and thats just because i tightened one of the bolts too much and it snapped.

the plastic should be really easy to cut. you just have to have a sharp knife. or a sawzall. i bet a jigsaw would even work. i did it with a knife though.

Thats not bad, 30 minutes. I like. They said I would need a new stalk, Nissan did. I didn't think it was true, I mean why would you.

no no thats true. the stock switch is on the headlight/turn signal stalk. it comes with the kit though. ok, so maybe 45 minutes. MAYBE 50. the point is, its really easy. dont pay anyone else to do it. changing that stalk is really easy. nothing to it.
