If I make a CAI, do I keep my air box and stock filter, do I have to take out the white, silencer box underneath?

Which is more effective, a stillen intake (cone filter) or a cai?

Does anyone have any links? Thanks...

 

If you do the oscai you don not have to take out the white box. Also the OSCAI has been reported as better than the cone filters... certainly it eliminates the low end torque loss.

I checked out your oscai link, do you just let the hose dangle, or do you have to make a hole in the fender?

Is the oscai a kit, or do you just get the parts at a hardware store? thanks...

 

It's a do-it-yourself job.....get the stuff from any hardware store. Maybe someone would want to make up kits and market them...??

 

DIY all the way.. mine dangles... others have made them into ram-air.

 

Perhaps it should be called the "Elephant Intake", since it's nose/snout usually just dangles.
