What is up with all the stickers on the dash?
That looks messed up.

Shifter looks all right, but it does not really accomplish anything.
The whole point of the sts is to shorten throws, not the shifter.

I will never understand people doing this... the shifter should be in good position relative to the steering wheel so you can reach it quickly, not a foot below the wheel.

Since when do people drive with both hands on the steering wheel?
Sillicone? Did that actually work?

Not a bad idea if all you’re going for is the visuals, the stock stick is rather high. I wish they had mounted it farther back on the console. I just got a Pacesetter STS and I'd like to have it all the way down but I really don’t think I'd be able to reach it. Anybody else with an adjustable STS find the sweet spot for the stick height? I hear it’s around %50 shorter. I suppose the only way is to throw it on and try it out.

I have a Pacesetter all the way down and its fine for me. if ya want the shifter father back to you drive a Saturn SC2. Its really far back compared to a Max. And I hate it.

Yeah, I didn't think that sillicone would hold since it's still soft after it cures. Did you cut right at the little round ring like in the pic or did you cut even more? Did the know still screw on or did you just push it down til it stopped?

welcome to the hacked stock **** club There must be tons of metal shavings all over the seats probably. Next time( well there won't be no next time) take a kitchen garbage bag and place it over the **** so you can catch the shavings.

Hey, it's a relatively free mod that just slickens the interior some more. Time to get a new **** dude.

well personally, you have to go with a STS, as the stock shifter is rediculously high, and actually it interefered with my 6 disc in dash changer, ****ing me off quite a bit. Now I have the Pacesetter installed, and it is almost all the way down, as for some reason, if it was any higher up, it would actually hit the plastic part that holds the shifter boot. It was a week or so to get used to it, but now I couldn't imagine going without it. Being about to shift with literally a flick of the wrist is awesome. Not tomention a through from 2nd to 5th (or vice-versa) is roughly 2", so yeah, very short throw.

Also, even in its lowest setting, its really not hard to reach at all, and I'm not a big guy, 5'11".
