Is It worth buying an ATX maxima?

I really want another max since I had to get rid of the other one, but all I keep finding are autos, Can I expect to enjoy and automatic maxima? Or is it kind of a downer?

well I had to sell it because I couldnt afford a car payment and to work on this max, it was kinda rough looking and running, but anyways, my neon which sucks will be payed off a year from november ( i cant wait) which in turn I will sell A.S.A.P., and buy another max
hoping I can find one, I should have never let that one go, dammit!!! all to hell

Depends. If you drive a lot in heavy traffic, then yeah, I drive mine hard and still have fun with it. If traffic is not an issue, it might get monotone.

the VE auto is more reliable than the VG auto for some reason (different technical trans ID)
I've got a VE A/T, and the trans works fine. 131k on it, and if it wants to live the tranny had better keep working

The sohc se auto will handle better than the gxe. The dohc se auto will both handle and perform better than the gxe.

I bought an auto GXE a year ago and just never really enjoyed it. I like the car, it just wasnt really fun to drive. A few weeks ago I bought a 5 speed SE and now its just a blast. Honestly, if you are already thinking an auto might be a bummer, then it probably will be. Take you time and find a 5 speed SE and you will really enjoy it. My SE is an 89 (VG powered) but the differences between it and the GXE are night and day. My opinion is go for the stick.

Good Luck!

you still CAN shift with an auto, I do it just because I beat my car and when you turn O/D off it becomes more responsive. Then, once you feel that the car could shift into 4th, hit the O/D button back on....entertaining......
