Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys have painted your dash needles/indicators, and if so, what kind of paint did you use to maintain the translucentness ?

Thanks.

i haven't done it or anything. but on www.importintelligence.com there's a pic w/ a maxima with blue needles. this is what they have to say about doing that.

Q: What are you guys using to color the needles.
A: Sharpie Permanent Marker works best because it allows light to pass through the needle and the marker.

You can pick up a Sharpie anywhere. Walmart, Office Depot, even the grocery store.

What color are you looking for? I know my 95 SE has black needles with a white strip in the middle that lights up. . . I don't know when they changed them, but you may be able to swap yours out if you were looking for something similar.

Well,

I have to wait for Importintelligence.com to come out with Canadian KM/H guage faces.

Then I was hoping to get blue needles, which would match the rest of my interior led conversions.
