93 SE woes continue.... so many questions so little time

i just got a black 93 SE dirt cheap, immediatley had to replace two injectors, i got it out of the shop and it runs a lot better but when i hit the gas i still feel a sluggish response (accompanied by a faint, high pitch chirping coming from the engine area), until the rpms start to increase then it starts to sound and accelerate normally. it
also, after the car runs for like 20 30 min , i can smell a heated plastic odor coming from underneath the car, i remember a similar smell from my deceased gxe... any idea what that could be?
is the MAF sensor swappable from the gxe version?
thanks for any help u can give me...
