Iv'e got a 1985 maxima (import) 2 litre V6. Does anyone know where i will find the engine number

 

It should be a 3.0 L...and is a VG30 .....if thats what you are asking for the info is on the VIN tag on the firewall in the engine bay

*edit* unless your car is not from the US (then it may be the 2L turbo)...but the engine code should be in the same place

 

This car is an import from japan, they call it a (Nissan Maximore Bluebird) it is tagged as a 1985 with a VG20 V6 Turbo. We have found the V.I.N. but can't locate the engine number,(needed for registration). Basically a maxima but with electric everthing,and a 2 litre V6.

 

mid 80's maximas were standard with power everything any way if you looking for the type you have it already, VG20ET, if you still cant find it look for a fuji heavy industries plate (i'll try to find mine and show you) if you looking for a engine bulid date then thats some place else
