Alot of play in steering wheel!!

let a friend drive my max on road trip and he said he noticed alot of play in my steering wheel. Guess i dont notice it since i have been driving the same vehicle for 5+ years. When i started driving it i started noticing it.

What do i need to get done to get that tight feel in the steering wheel again?

Replace the steering rack. I have the same problem, and every mechanic I have talked to says that as it gets older, the grears get stretched and worn, causing the loose feel. You can get a lower milage used one from www.car-part.com for $100 or so.
Labor though is what will kill you. From what I've been told its hell on earth..........
