Ex Manifold studs - manifold

I noticed my engine would tick when cold, but gets quieter after it warmed up. Took a look at the ex manifold studs and sure enough, two of them were gone on the front. The bummer part is that I had them replaced before (well, it has been about 90K since then). I have 167k miles now.

I figured I'll do it myself this time to save some $$$.

The manifold studs, nuts and the gaskets are priced comparably from many sources, but the question I have is the manifold.

Does this need to be replaced? Last time, it was warped, hence it was replaced. If so, what's the best place to get a good deal (on-line)?

I looked around a few places, but they all show the rear side manifold in stock, but not the front.

Thanks,

Have you checked with Stillen yet? Also, look up Brian (internetautomar) and his website. He might be able to get 'em, too.

write-up on replacing studs...
I believe those part #s are correct. WHile you have the manifold out, check to see if it's warped. It isn't too bad of a job (the fronts) I think I could get it down to 4 hrs if I did it alone. The rears on the other hand, are the biggest bi### of all. G/luck

Look in the sticky about "JDM VE engine replacement." I know you don't have a VE, but I think Jeff or Keelan put in the proper part numbers on the studs.
