car acting very strange today(long)

Well when i was leaving school today i went to go unlock my car. The alarm goes off, so I shut the door, lock and unlock it again and the alarm wouldnt go off. I open up the fuse compartment, look down pull out the alarm fuse..nothin, put it back in then pull out the horn and it works.(now everytime i put it back it the alarm will go off if i open any door or the hood/truck)

Anyways, i went to go start my car..doesnt start. It doesnt even crank or sound like the battery is trying to work. I pop the hood and the battery is connected right, and everything else seems fine. My friend came over and he told me to just(not sure if this is right) put a screw drive between the cylinoids on the starter to start it. He showed me and it started right up. The weird thing is that everytime i started it up before it would start, go to 300rpm. I would have to crank it for like 15 seconds and use the gas to get it started( it would idle bounce for a long time after that) Anyways, i went home and shut it down, tried to start it, does it again.

Does anyone know what could cause this. I looked at a starter through my friend and he told me about 280 for a new one, and i dont want to spend that much if i dont have to.

It might not be starting because of the alarm disabling your starter?

that could be an issue, but each time i put the horn fuse back in, the alarm will go off. Is there a way to turn off the alarm, because by locking it and unlocking it didnt do the trick(worked last time for me)

its not the batt, i just got it changed a few weeks ago. I just got off the phone with my friend who is a nissan tech, he told me that it could be a problem with the door locks not unlocking all the way, and disabling the alarm. Right now i have to turn the key and use the handle at the same time to get the door open so.

hey nick,
yeah, i had the same problem on mine after a guy broke into my car, Nissan said that the problem was my door sensors and alarm and wanted 500!!, when u take out the horn, u should still here the relay. my quick but uneasy fix was to remove the accessory cable from the positive battery terminal start the car, and plug it back in after, this way the alarm is disabled. Or u could always push start it and drop the clutch if u have a 5 spd

ya, i have a 5spd, and have had to pop the clutch a few times(pain in the *** when your by urself lol) Well we got it started and i was to afraid to shut it down anywhere except for my house, so i got home, shut it down and immediatly tried to fire it up..nothing not even a crank. I put the horn fuse back in, the alarm still is on. so i took it back out and tomorrow my friend is comming over and we are going to look at the door locks to see if that might be the problem.
