What's the CHEAPEST way I can replace a front speaker on my 97 w/ bose?

I've got one of the main front speakers (the one on the left, unfortunately) cracking and distorting now. I guess an official replacement speaker wouild cost a lot, since bose sucks. I'm not interested in replacing anything I don't need to, and money is the key priority here (not spending much!). Is there another speaker that would work with the size/impedence of these ones? In terms of balancing the sound stage and all that doo-da, it's not a huge interest for me. I just need something that has "similar" power, and won't distort, or cost me much.

I know you don't want Bose speakers, but it may be easy to go onto Ebay and search for Bose speakers and use one on there. You should be able to get them for cheap and IMO that would be the easiest option for you.

Hope that helped?

Thanks, it does look like I'll need to take that route, as going with an aftermarket will require an $80 purchase of a wiring kit as well. Damn, I wish nissan would drop this bose crap.
