Trunk lock

Gahhh, someone tried prying open my trunk lock!?!!

After parking for the night I noticed that the lock cylinder was off kilter and the ring was mangled, WTF----I fiddled with it and the trunk popped right open! Upon closer inspection of the contents nothing was missing, phew.

It looks like they actually succeeded but didn't realize it...clearly the work of amateurs.

I've popped off the ring and wired the trunk down from the inside. There's very minimal damage to the trunk itself (just some bent metal under the ring). Anyone have any suggestions on replacing the cylinder, do I go back to a dealer, can I do this myself, any suggestions on some heavy duty locks/fittings, can I get a cylinder that matches up with the main key???

As always, many thanks in advance!

Something is wrong with my trunk too. It won't latch shut. My lock cylinder was loose, but gluing it in didn't help. Right now zip ties are holding it shut.
