Correct wattage for clearance lights??

I was wondering about these too. I want to get rid of those icky yellow-ish looking bulbs I have in my clearance lights as well. Have the hyperwhite headlights with clear bumpers... and those clearance lights look really awful now. BUT I don't want to rewire anything. What is the max wattage I can throw at it without melting something? As far as that goes, what is the wattage of the stock bulbs?
Is there a bulb I can get that runs the same wattage as the stock bulb but without the yellow look? If so, what is it and where do I get them?

I think the stockers are 8w/24w. Do the rewire, it's safe and easy. I got all my bulbs @ http://www.aieonline.com and they always have them on ebay.

i got them at a local store around my house, that picture is with the signal on and the low beams on. If i had the High Beams on you would only see blue in the pic and orange from my signal. I got them for $25, i can get an extra set, and send it to you for $27 thats with shipping.

I have 35/5 Polarg SuperWhites in my clearance lights. I've had them since December. One bulb did blow, but the guy at the store said it was a bad bulb and replaced it for free.

I believe the stock bulbs are 27/8.

I haven't really had any problems, except for a "bad" bulb.

Do the Rewire

I had the superwhites they won't look good until you do the rewire. I had the on for about 3 months, but changed them to royal blue which looks even better (since it's rewired)!

I got some corners that are 35/5w and I did the rewiring so that the 35w is on not the 5w. I kept blowing a fuse?? Has this happened to anyone else? I just changed the fuse to a 7 amp to 10 amp and so far so good for about 3 weeks...

Go to http://www.maximadriver.com/
Click the "How2" -> Under the "Cosmetics" column
Look for "Rewire Your Corner Lights"
By "corner", he means "Clearance"

Clearance Rewire

Highly recommend the rewire. I've got the Xenon Hyperwhites from AIEONLINE. They are REALLY nice with the rewire. It's easy, you just need a soldiering iron and some soder. Follow the instructions. Oh yes, use some WD40 on the prong that holds the light in. Just spray on the prong, wait a minute or two and then you can pull the light right out. Why did Nissan wire these things to be on "dim" to begin with????

There's really not that much difference that I can tell from the engine noise. It's really hard to tell since I installed the exhaust and intake at the same time. Most of the growling comes from my exhaust though. There's a guy here that makes the pipe that runs from the intake to the engine which is supposed to give it a meaner growl, but he hasn't gotten back to me about making one for me. What's up MZMTG? Are you going to get back to me on that?
