#@$cking over torqued bolt.. ARGGH

Anyone else had a problem with a over torqued starter bolt (the large one)? I tried using a 1/2" ratchet with cheater bar and impact wrench and it is still stuck. The bolt has never been removed, so it was over torqued at the factory. Ideas on getting it loose?

wow...you couldn't get it off with the impact gun? spray that bish down with WD-40 or PB Blaster and let it sit for a couple minutes and have at it. Just keep spraying or get a stronger impact gun.

You can also try heating it with a blow torch. You don't have to get it red hot or anything, just hot, like a minute or two. Once you get it hot, try the impact gun again.

Use a breaker bar and a pipe.

torch

I try it with a benzene torch, I hope that works. I'm going to try another impact wrench also. The wrench I was using was an older IR model, ~350 max torque.
